Dear X2 Delegates,
With only a week to go until the conference it is a little saddening to read some of the comments / queries / booking requests coming through at this late stage. The team have worked tirelessly ever since the conference was launched last August to put in place every possible level of communication, information, instruction and help to ensure that this conference is the most successful ever.
After working as an executive manager in a five star resort for six years and running over 100 conferences personally, I have never seen attention to detail at this level from any event organiser apart from X2. Probably one of the main reasons I decided to join and help Richard spearhead a new generation of business networking events. Mark my words this will be spectacular.
On the other hand I have also not seen such volume of last minute requests and un-confirmed travel schedules. I fully understand how busy everyone is, but this many hotel booking requests with just over a week to go is frightening.
We have turned over every stone to secure accommodation, transportation, and offer a personalised booking service to all members, something not seen from any competing network, and something only a professional travel agency would normally undertake. But X2 has decided to do this, at no financial gain, to be the best possible.
This is currently the busiest time in the calendar and all hands are on deck with organising the last few details to make this conference exceptional. Please help us to help you and send over flight details, or confirmation of your attendance / non-attendance on the convoy in the next few days.
The Dusit in Bangkok is fully booked on the night of the 23rd now, but there are plenty of rooms in nearby hotels. The area to stay is called Silom. Google maps can assist with distances from other hotels to the Dusit Thani if you have any concerns.
Please feel free to call me on Thursday and Friday this week and I will personally help where possible, but hotel bookings outside of our two elected hotels in Hua Hin will need to be done by the delegate personally.
